Hebrew For Everyone

Join us every Wednesday night from 6:30-7:30pm in the Green Room as we continue to improve our Hebrew together.

The first class will be held on February 6, 2019.

This class is for everyone! It’s right in the title!

You might be asking, how is this class different than other classes we have offered in the past?

This class will:

• Place you at the right level for your current skills.
• Allow you to work at your own pace to reach your Hebrew learning goals.
• Have small group leaders who can provide instant feedback on pronunciation and individualized support as you work.
• Give you the support and encouragement of your peers, as we work together to improve our Hebrew.

There are two tracks you can choose from: Aleph Champ (beginner), and Hebrew Champ (intermediate/advanced).

Aleph Champ - Reading fluency and beginner vocabulary

Aleph Champ is for people who are just starting or need to work on their fluency. Go from learning the Hebrew Alef-Bet to reading fluently at 40 words per minute in ten colored levels. You will take an individualized test at the beginning to see what level you should start at.

Price for Aleph Champ:

• $5 per level - Folder, bookmark and rental of the Aleph Champ reader.
• $10 per level - Folder, bookmark, rental of the Aleph Champ reader, workbook* and medallion.
• $20 per level - Folder, bookmark, Aleph Champ reader (to keep), workbook* and medallion.

*Workbook is designed to be a fun supplemental but might not be of interest to everyone.

Hebrew Champ - Hebrew grammar, vocabulary and comprehension

The Hebrew Champ track is for people who are already reading fluently at 40 words per minute (or more) and would like to start working on grammar, intermediate/advanced vocabulary, and being able to read and understand Biblical Hebrew, as you progress through ten colored levels.

Hebrew Champ uses a series of Biblical Hebrew products from EKS Publishing and integrates them into a self-paced, leveled system of individual/partner study with teacher support.

Price for Hebrew Champ:

• $6.50 per level - Folder, level guidebook and Hebrew Champ bracelet.

You will need to purchase or have access to the following EKS Publishing Biblical Hebrew products (Available on Amazon or EKS Publishing’s website):

• The First Hebrew Primer (Third Edition)
• First Hebrew Primer Answer Book (Third Edition)
• The First Hebrew Reader
• The First Hebrew Primer Flashcards

Do I need to register before coming to class?

No registration needed. On your first night we will test you to see what level you will start with and you will get your materials.

I will miss the first class. Can I still join?

Yes! Because of the leveled structure of this class, new students can join at any time.
