Mishneh Torah - Hilchot Teshuvah - Laws of Repentance Chapter 2

The Mishneh Torah (Hebrew: מִשְׁנֵה תּוֹרָה‎‎, "Repetition of the Torah"), subtitled Sefer Yad ha-Hazaka (ספר יד החזקה "Book of the Strong Hand"), is the magnum opus of Maimonides (Rabbi Moshe ben Maimon, also known as RaMBaM or "Rambam"), on the subject of halacha (Jewish Law). The Mishneh Torah is one of the three foundations of Jewish Law - the other two being the works of the Rif (Rabbi Yitchak Alfasi) and of the Rosh (Rabbi Asher ben Yechiel). Contained in this encyclopedic work, are fourteen books that cover a comprehensive wide range of topics such as the theology of the Divine, tithing produce, the nature of the Messiah, and much more. The first book of this compendium is known as Sefer HaMadda (the Book of Knowledge) and it contains a section known as Hilchot Teshuvah (Laws of Repentance). This section contains ten chapters and the following lessons will cover a chapter a day during the Aseret Yamei Teshuvah (Ten Days for Repentance) from Rosh Hashanah to Yom Kippur. Today, we will continue with Chapter 2 of Hilchot Teshuvah.
