What is "the measure of faith that God has assigned" (Romans 12:3)? What is the gift of "exhortation"? What are spiritual gifts and how do they function? Romans 12 depicts the body of Messiah in all its diversity, and calls upon us to commit ourselves to the body, offering ourselves as "living sacrifices" to the Almighty.

For as in one body we have many members, and the members do not all have the same function, so we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another. (Romans 12:4-5)

What is the "time of the Gentiles" and how long does it last. This teaching on Revelation 11:1-2 provides the background for the command to "rise and measure the temple" and insights into the trampling of the holy city.

Then I was given a measuring rod like a staff, and I was told, "Rise and measure the temple of God and the altar and those who worship there, but do not measure the court outside the temple; leave that out, for it is given over to the nations, and they will trample the holy city for forty-two months.
