Gog and Magog | Beth Immanuel Messianic Synagogue

More about Gog and Magog

The prophets Zechariah and Haggai worked together at the time of the building of the Second Temple. This teaching begins with Sukkot and Shemini Atzeret in the Temple, unlocks the meaning of the mysterious visions Zechariah, reveals the name of the Messiah, discusses the war of Gog and Magog, and reaches toward the kingdom.

Why is Sukkot called the Festival of Nations? It has something to do with Gog and Magog, Leviathan, Antichrist, and the End of Days.

Unlike any other teaching you might have heard on "the armor of God," this final installment in our series on the Epistle to the Ephesians places the discussion on the armor of God in it's biblical and eschatological context: the final battle with the nations which is called Gog and Magog and the battle of Armageddon.

Meet the prophet Isaiah and find out how the prophet saved Jerusalem. It's possible to read Isaiah all your life and miss the real story of the book. This overview of the story behind the prophecies of the book of Isaiah takes us into the world of eighth century BCE politics and reveals the plot of the book: reversing an evil decree.

At the end of days, when King Messiah comes, there will be two sets of dinner invitations issued. You will want to RSVP for the right event, and make sure you aren't at the wrong one. This teaching on Revelation 19 issues an invitation to the wedding supper of the Lamb, takes us through the second coming of Messiah, and the exciting to conclusion to the first battle of Gog and Magog.

Seven angels pour out seven bowls (invoking the plagues with which God struck Egypt) as the armies of Gog and Magog assemble to make war on Jerusalem in the Battle of Armageddon. Get the inside information on the great end-times conflict and God's direct intervention for the salvation of his people.

In the way of encouragement for those who must sacrifice their lives rather than accept the mark of the beast or worship his image, the Apocalypse of John grants a glimpse of the final redemption, the coming of the Messiah, the Lamb on Mount Zion with the 144,000, and the defeat of Gog and Magog.

The plagues on Egypt foreshadow a future coming time of tribulation when God will judge the whole earth, as he once judged Egypt. This time, judgment comes on all the nations, as God redeems his people from the nations. Just as the redemption from Egypt began with plagues, judgments, signs and wonders on the earth, likewise, the final redemption will be prefaced by the same types of omens, calamities, and judgments, which Christians refer to as “the tribulation” and Jews refer to as the “Birth Pains of Messiah,” leading up to the conflict of Armageddon, the great war of Gog and Magog.
